Description

24in African Beaded Tribal Necklace by Glade Creek Art. This masculine piece has a phenomenal Krobo focal bead with the French Cross pattern on it. This bead is from my 1970s collection of beads from Ghana Africa. The wood beads have a clear coat applied to them, so the necklace can be cleanded with a damp cloth. I used a yellow krobo bead called a dog bone. I like the way they sit on the wood beads. This piece has special beads called bicones. These beads are made on an upright metal rod and then fired. These paticular beads are excellent quality. They are brown and white with the traditional evil eye pattern in the shape of a triangle. These phenomenal beads have gotten very expensive as they are no longer made. The last artist stopped making them about 2 years ago. They are hard to find as they are a great collectors item now. If you somehow break the wire, and it wouldn't be easy, you can send it back for repairs. Message me about details. I used heavy .45mm nylon coated wire.
